Brick’s township historian, Gene Donatiello, has been awarded the Pauline S. Miller Lifetime Achievement Award in Ocean County History.
The award was presented by the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission. The commission recognized Donatiello, a township resident for many years, for his efforts in recording and presenting Brick Township history through his involvement in the Brick Township Historical Society and the Brick Township Historic Preservation Commission.
He is founding president of the society, has coordinated the restoration and is currently curator of the Havens Homestead Museum. In addition, Mr. Donatiello has written several books, many articles, and continues to give presentations on Brick Township history.
