Forecasters with the National Weather Service say 50 degree temperatures on Wednesday will plummet during the night and give way to a snowstorm that will dump 8-10 inches in Ocean County.
The Ocean County area, according to a forecast issued by weather officials Wednesday, will take the brunt of the storm. Snow totals will taper off north of Monmouth County and south of the Atlantic City area. A winter storm warning has been issued for Ocean County from 11 p.m. Wednesday night until 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
“No significant changes to going forecast ideas,” Press of Atlantic City meteorologist Dan Skeldon posted on his popular Facebook page at about 1:30 p.m. Skeldon said the midday forecast models remained largely the same as previous models indicating a snowstorm for the Jersey Shore.
